Occupational Therapy
  • Occupational therapy includes the study of human growth and development with specific emphasis on the social, emotional, and physiological effects of disability, illness and injury. Some people may think that occupational therapy is only for adults: children, after all, do not have occupations.
  • But a child's main 'occupation' is learning through play, socialization and academics. An occupational therapist can evaluate a child's skills for play activities, school performance, and activities of daily living, and enhance these skills through a variety of therapeutic treatments.
